ARIS Private Cloud for Faculties
How it Works
This offer enables you to host your own private cloud for all the students in your lecture. Students can get started within seconds. All they need is a standard PC and a browser of their choice. It allows participation from home, from campus or anywhere else.
Your students gain hands-on experience in business process modeling and learn to describe complex business information in a logical and understandable way.

ARIS Quickstart Guide
If you are new to ARIS, we recommend watching the Quickstart Guide to learn how to install and configure ARIS in your academic environment.

ARIS Quickstart Guide for faculty members and teachers
Watch the complete playlist or pick the topics that are most important to you. You can easily navigate using the process images below.
The super-short videos are grouped by the initial setup and the three major phases that match your educational needs, before, during and after your term.
Initial Setup
First you learn the basics about how-to set up ARIS in your academic environment. It's all about installation, configuration, user- and database-management.
This will take no longer than 10 minutes and doesn't require any special knowledge or skills.
Before the term
Then you prepare your upcoming term and learn how to use ARIS to invite your students to the environment. The highlight is, running a report that loads your complete students list with just one click.
Once you know the students of your lecture, you want to go ahead and finish the preparation of the environment.
-
Access Rights
You might also want to assign your students the appropriate access rights so they can work on ARIS independently. Here is how to do that with the ARIS Architect/Designer Client. Please make sure the account you're using has been assigned the ARIS Architect role.
-
During the term
Next is how to introduce and guide your students. This includes a hello world tutorial and how-to backup your research or learning results (more Videos to come soon). Please don't forget to point your students to the free option to get certified in ARIS.
-
After the term
At the end of your term, you might want to clear or restore a database, delete users and free up your licenses for the next term.
More setup options
We understand that requirements may differ from faculty to faculty. Therefore, we offer two options for your convenience:
- Option A: You might want to install ARIS Architects (thin clients) on the PCs of your Faculty Lab, which can connect to the Server.
- Option B: In case your Faculty Lab is not accessible, you might want to give permission to your students to download ARIS Architects (thin clients) directly from your Server and install it on their private PCs, which can connect to the Server.
Please contact universitycommunity@ariscommunity.com. We would get back to you at the earliest possible.
