We have the need of connecting ARIS database with a SAP based document management system. Nowadays this link is supported by the creation of "Technical Terms" objects, attached to the "Functions" objects. Then, we manually inform the link for each respective document inside SAP DMS database. Is anybody else having such a kind of need? What solutions are being used?

ARIS provides out of the box its own DMS: ARIS Document Storage. But we are supporting also external DMS, such Microsoft SharePoint: http://www.ariscommunity.com/users/erimos81/2015-04-22-aris-dms#comment-19370
