Hi,

I have a EPC model created in ARIS and would like to convert the same to BPMN. When I do so, the objects representing IT systems get lost as there is no object type in BPMN to represent IT systems.

Can anyone suggest how to represent IT systems in BPMN?

Thanks

Two options:

1) If you want to stick to official BPMN, an IT system becomes a pool or lane depending how independent it is from the overall process.

2) As using pools/lanes for everything makes the concept blury, you can assign a function allocation diagram to a BPMN activity in ARIS. In this diagram, you can use all satellite objects as you would do in an EPC.

Thanks to both of you. i will consider the two options here in my model.
