Any chance of a SIPOC model being added to the list of default models? This version has opportunity with my GB/BB users. Capability to create a SIPOC will enhance user acceptance significantly (at my company I expect the target audience to be the GB/BB's)
thanks
donald
Hi Donald,
couldn't you use a Business Process Model (EPC) for this purpose? I think you can visualise all things of SIPOC there, too.
Regards,
Sebastian
An EPC would work, but has too much extra info available and needs columns setup. If I could only have 1 model available in Express it would be a dedicated SIPOC, based on target audience requirements,

Sebastain -
is there a way to create a table layout for the models?
thanks
Vishy
Hi Vishy,
the layout of the models can't be changed. We have table and column layouts in the professional ARIS tools, but not in ARIS Express.

Sebastian
Hi folks,
some words generally about model types:
sure, we could include each and every model type in Express. But that is not the intention and the use case for that tool.
We decided to include the model types mostly used in projects in Express.
Organization chart and process landscape for an overview, data model and process model for the more detailled step, and system landscape and IT infrastructure for the technical issues. And the "general model" for some user defined charts.
Bye,
Frank
Frank,
Thanks for the feedback, but I see one issue with your comments. You said: "We decided to include the model types mostly used in projects in Express".
Sipocs have only recently been made available in ARIS, so there cannot be history of their usage. I would say that since there was a need recognized for this model in the professional versions then maybe we should also make these available in express.
I know at my company we have 0 (zero) Sipocs in aris, however we have several thousand in excel. This continues to be a great divide in the organization.
I just see it as a lost opportunity.
thanks
