Hi there,

can anyone tell me how to install Aeris Express as an unprivileged user?

We want to make Aris Express our favorite tool. As we have many unprivileged users there has to be a way to do this without making our users admins at their workstation.

Thanks for any help!

Hello Dominik,

> We want to make Aris Express our favorite tool.

Great to hear :-)

This is not a problem. For installing ARIS Express, you do not need to be an administrator on your machine. It is installed automatically into your user profile directory.

Bye,

Frank

Hello Frank,

I just tried an installation as normal user. The Setup tells me I had insufficient rights to install Aris Express for all users and should do this as administrator.

Installing as Administrator just enables Aris Express to the admin, not to all users.

I'm stuck here. So any hints would be great!

Hi,

ok, I forward this to our development. You could instead try the alternative download.

Bye,

Frank

Thanks Frank!

The alternative download worked for me :)

Have tried all suggestions.  I can login into community but not register Express.  This is really frustrating. Why the complicated verification?   Have tried 2 days running for over an hour but no results.

Hi Gary,

it is a pitty if you can't register ARIS Express :-( Have you followed all the different points in the FAQ? Can you access the following URL: https://www.ariscommunity.com/? If you can access the URL, you will most probably also be able to register ARIS Express. It is just a matter of Java settings.

Many thanks for the discussions above.  I have managed to download ARIS Express to a computer I have no admin rights too.  It worked first time, so thank you for all your clear guidance.  Now I just have to understand how Process Mapping works!  Any idea's to help clear my confusion!

" title>Hello Mr. Frank

We are having similar problems of Mr. Dominik.

" title>We need the Aris Express is available on our intranet for the entire organization can build / model your processes but how to install the Express is not feasible as it is today.

There is new version expected to simplify the form of installation?
