Hi,
some users noticed, that the ARIS download client refused to start after the automatic update of the virtual machine to Java 7, update 65.
This is most likely due to a bug in the JRE (more: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24792360/issues-with-java-7u65).
In that case, just close all browser windows and execute this line in a prompt window, to delete the problem causing file (deployment.properties):
del /Q %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.properties

Hi,
I was getting asked how one can see, what the problem is.
The client just does not start, no error message, no log entry, nothing. This is due to the fact that the virtual machine does not start at all.
So if you like to start the download client via your browser, and just nothing happens, please check whether you are using the java version 7, update 65.
