Hi, Downloaded Aris Express today and installed with no problems.
Tried to open the program, and only gets to first screen " Aris Platform " and then close and no further progress thereafter. I tried running the program in compatibility mode and still no joy.

do you have admin rights and/or write access to that location?
Express would need to extract some files there.

seems that there is an error in the installation software (an external tool) which we are using. It looks like as if there is a certain percentage of machines, where the installation failes... We have hundreds of installations per day, and the amounts of error message regarding the installation is rather slow. Also on our internal tests on Windows 10, the error did not occur.
If that installation does not work on your machine, you should use the webstart alternative.

I had the very same issue as the OP. I installed the latest ARIS Express version (2.4b) on a Windows 10 machine. The installer went through just fine, but when I start ARIS Express via the start menu it shows the splash screen (ARIS Platform) and then exits. Nothing further happens.
I was able to solve that problem by starting ARIS Express as administrator (right click in the start menu -> More -> Start as Administrator). AE then starts just fine.
