ARIS integration with Active directory through LDAP connection

there is a full section on the ARIS Administration and Configuration document with a fully documented example - In ARIS 7.2 document, check section 5.9. & 5.9.1.1.3 for attributes mapping.

You can also reach out to the ARIS Helpdesk and/or your local ARIS Field Support.

Thank you, we already did the configurations that mentioned in the administration document without any success till now.

We filled all tabs for LDAP integration (connection, identification attributes, user attribute mapping and filters) as requested in the ARIS example.

The ARIS LDAP log file indicates that we connected successfully but in retrieving query or the import users filter doesn’t show any results.

for more information the error code from ldaplogfile  (LDAP: error code 1 - 000020D6)

Please advice.

We have solved the problem and we imported the users from AD by LDAP integration succefully.

But now when trying to login to the DB by Active Directory users that we have imported we get no results and it always reject to login, which indicates that ARIS dosent recognise the password of the imported users at logging in.

Hi Hazem,

i think that you need to remove the ARIS users before you can use the AD generated users & passwords. I tested that on my server with exactly the same effect you were describing here, so i am pretty sure thats the solution.

That would even work if you do NOT import the users before you try to log in. I would suggest that you create a test db and delete all users, then just login with your user name and password (without domain information, that does not work). - it should work.
