I am trying to find the way of mapping the data models / Entities with SAP.
I am looking for something like parallel to "SAP Function Type" attribute by using which I can map my Entities with SAP processes.
I can very well assign my entities with Custom Defined Processes in ARIS, but what about, if I have to link my data models to SAP processes like HR or something.

Hi Lim,
As per my knowledge, I don't think that it is possible to get the SAP processes to ARIS after ARIS - SAP Synchronization. Synchronization enables you to map ARIS database to SAP project where we can map objects of the processes which we have defined in ARIS, to the SAP functions.
Please correct if I am wrong.

which product out of the Aris product family are you using and can you give more details of the usecase ? We have some special SAP tailored products, and so the capabilities you are asking about do depend heavily on the mentioned product.

I am using ARIS - Business Designer for SAP.
I am trying to associate a data object (i.e. Entity) with a SAP process, to which this data object has an existence.
e.g. I have a data object "New Employee" which has its existence in one of SAP process, lets say in HR.
I am not sure how to show & map this allocation.

Hi Parveen, good question..
My understanding from previous IDS Scheer presentations is that it is possible to get the SAP master data schema from the SAP Solution Mgr through the ARIS-SAP connection. After which, it is possible to link it to the ARIS models.
Can someone verify if this is true?
