Yes, it is possible, and we practice it in custom reports. You can put the link to the model, external document, or document in ARIS Doc storage. So technically, it is possible, but it should be anyway a custom script anyway.

Eva Klein posted a solution to export a model graphic to Excel, which you might need to adopt for the current XLSX output format.

AFAIK there is still no standard method in the report scripting API to get the URL of a model in connect's published content view. But you can work the code from this post into your custom script to add the backlink to the exported model. Please consider the refinements/corrections in the comments. 

As Aris Connect does still resolve the model GUID as part of the item URL you might not need the function compressGuid(guid).

Not sure, whether I understand your post correctly. But you can do a concatenation using the GUID and then be directed to the model's URL (that's how I did it for my Dashboards before I learned that there was an easier way for how to do it :D ). That's the formula, I use:

=CONCATENATE("[YOUR ARIS URL incl./#default/item/c.process.][Database name.]";[GUID of model/or item];".-1")

==> just make sure that you put all entries that are text in inverted commas; like: "TEXT"; and also, make sure that you replace the "c.process" with the respective name of the target object.

There is a way to get the Model Link using Report API, but it is very well hidden ;-)

I can not guarantee that this method will not be turned of some day, as the corresponding component is "outdated" ;-)
