[SOLVED] ARIS default attributes

Depending on the ARIS version you use the behavior is different.

Using ARIS 7.x, you don't have the possibility to assign an attribute originating from the ARIS Method to any object type. You can only create user-defined attributes. Those attributes are available for almost all method items which have attributes and can be activated in the filter.

Using ARIS 9, you can reuse attributes of the ARIS Method. User-defined attributes are not automatically available for all method items and in the lists of the Filter wizard.

Please assign the relevant attributes (user-defined as well as ARIS attributes) explicitly to the method item.

1. Open Administration -> Configruation -> Method -> e.g. List of object types.
2. Edit the relevant method item.
3. Activate the second step of the wizard (Select attributes).
4. Click on 'Add' and use the 'Filter' functionality to find the relevant attribute. 
5. Start the Filter wizard for further configuration.

Thank you for the clarification. I am still working under ARIS 7.x.

I am looking forward to enjoy version 9 to avoid duplicate attributes.

Good explanation. I found that there was one extra step to activate this - you have to close and re-open the model Database too.
