ARIS 9.8 to fresh Solman 7.2 Sync issues

We have upgraded Solman 7.1 to 7.2. We have an existing ARIS database in version 9.8.8. We want to synchronize ARIS with the fresh Solution Manager instance. Back in the beginning of our project, ARIS was established first and then Solman so the sync was done. I am not sure how they did that as I was not there at the time. We have transferred the project to ARIS from Solman already but we are getting an error when we try and synchronize all of the models back to Solution Manager.

It says "You have more than one rootnode for your process step library. Please check your branch model for a unique rootnode."

I have not been able to find anything on what this actually means or how to fix it. Any ideas?

Hi Nick,

Check this error because you have a duplicate SAP ID. Usually occurs when you have a duplicate SAP function on one of your models.

In the ARIS for SAP Attributes of the SAP Function there is one called: 'SAP ID', which is generated when creating the structure in SAP Solution Manager and is the way that Solution Manager knows the node of the structure that has to be updated when the synchronization is performed.

It is not the duplicate SAP ID error. We don't have SAP IDs from the new project yet for any of the models or functions for the scenario we are trying to sync for our test sync.

Hi Nick,

You should migrate existing ARIS database for sync with Solution Mangaer 7.2. It could be done with ARIS reports for SAP migration. Did you run it?
