What are the various types of analysis we can do in a business process model? ARIS Business Simulator allows to analyze on parameters time(Avg, Max, Min) & Cost(Avg, Max, Min) i havent explored the tool yet. What are the other types of analysis that can be done on a model and what are the tools in ARIS that can help to perform such analysis?

If we are talking about the simulator, one can analyze how much the resources in the process are utilized (human, machines). One can find roles that have a lot of free time and others that are overworked.
Using expertise and common sense you can manually identify communication problems between different departments and eliminate many actions that do not add value to the client (Think of Lean manufacturing principles, for example - Muda). Don't expect ARIS to provide all the answers.

My two cents on this. Before you even get to Simulation there is a tremendous amount of analysis available. Just from basic models you can analyze efficiencies by using the various reports. Some that I like deal with counting handoffs and counting application changes. This is a simple way to see if a proposed change can have an impact.
Using queries and reports gives significant other value: Who uses what system can answer other questions like:
who would be impacted if we shut down a certain application
who needs training on what applications,
etc,etc
Good luck

Dear Mr. Donald, can you specify which reports to run so that i can get the result of analysis you mentioned above, and i need to know which report can help me in the following type of process analysis:
1. non-value adding activities
2.break points:
a. media break
b. system Break
c. organization break
3. business rules embedded within the processes(i.e. no usage of risk object types)
4. moment of truth
