Hi everyone,

We currently have a kind of hot discussion. We want to have a document ID and version number per document living in ARIS as metadata. Documents in this sense are documents specifying a process or a task within a process (e. g. instruction, checklist) which are controlled within the IMS.

Questions:

  1. Should the document ID and version number also be displayed on the document (e. g. a PDF) or is it sufficient to keep it as metadata from a ISO standards compliance perspective?
  2. If the PDF document carries the document ID and version number, this is manual work and error prone. Any best practise tips regarding this path?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this.
