I am trying to import a Visio Professional 2010, Version 14.0.7165.5000 (32bit) map into ARIS 9.8 Connect. Using the ARIS Architect client, and the Visio Import.xml, I'm selecting Edit and have sought advice on this forum that I can now link the Cross-Functional Flowchart (Matrix) map of Visio to the new Enterprise BPMN 2.0 Collaboration Diagram. using Ctrl key+Edit to get the list of model types. Fantastic.
However, there is a catch. I have been using a completely customized stencil which has been created by someone more experienced than me in Visio. The unfortunate thing is, this stencil is not being recognized by ARIS based on the names of the objects that this person has created.
Can anyone tell me what needs to be done either in ARIS or in Visio that will enable this stencil to be recognized in ARIS?
I'm assuming if we switch to ARIS Express, the same thing could happen that the .vdx files with this same stencil will not be able to be imported into ARIS Express?
