When, on an existing business process model, I want to add a lane, I select the parent lane -> ‘BPMN’ -> ‘Add new lanes...':

 

Then enter the number of lanes and select the position:

 

ARIS adds the new lanes outside the pool:

How can I prevent this from happening?
