Hi, I am new to ARIS Express 2.4

I am trying to open a BPMN Model from within another BPMN Model (via the link attribute)

The link is opened by aris without problems, but always in a complete new aris instance which takes quite some time loading.

QUESTION:

How do I get aris to open links in new tabs? Like it behaves when going via File->Open (Strg+O).

Thank you very much.

Hello Tom,

yes, the windows version behaves like that: a new instance of Express is loaded. This is already fixed. The fix will be available in the next version.

Bye,

Frank

Thanks for your quick reply.

When is the next version due?

Hi Tom,

well, we will see. I understand this might be annoying, but if this is the only thing we notice about the new version, it does not force us to deliver a new version.

Bye,

Frank

Hi, I'm also new to ARIS Express 2.4.

Also test this product on 64-bit systems, please.

There is another bug - on Windows 7 64-bit, for example, link object does not work at all.

Could you suggest any quick workarounds to this bug?

And also to opening new instance each time when F7 button is pressed when element with link is defined (on 32-bit systems of course)?

ARIS Express seems to be a very nice tool, but these bugs makes users disapointed at start...

You know, nowadays next version may be one time too late...

Bye,

Marek

Hi,

I've got Express 2.4 on my Windows-7 64 bit system, and actually, linking to other documents work in my case. Maybe I did not get it correctly. You describe, that F7 opens another instance. But that is exactly "link object", right?

About opening a new instance in case of linking an ADF: this is known and it is an error in the windows version. In the webstart version, this does not appear.

Bye,

Frank
