Hello Community,
When we customised ARIS to satisfy the look and feel of our company, certain object types got by default a rather dark colour. The idea was to change the colour of the text in these objects to white.
- We therefore defined in our "Conventions" a "Font Format", called White. So this font is defined in the application.
- Then within the "Template" we use, we defined as "Font format" for the object type (in "Place symbol attributes") this White font.
However the text always comes out in black.
The only way around this is to change every object of this type with a "white" font that has been defined within the database itself.
So we thought that it might be a problem due to the version of ARIS. Last week we installed the latest service release (7.1.0.478722 (SR 2010_06)) but the problem still exists.
What are we doing wrong?
Thanks for your input.

Hi Bruno,
As we're running the same version of ARIS, I tested this on our system and it seems to work fine.
So first, I assume you created the 'white' font under the 'Configuration' database 'Font formats' folder. (This enables you to choose the this font when in the 'Template' view.)
If the new font has indeed been created this way, perhaps it is a small error that, when creating the 'white' font that the color of the font was NOT actually changed to 'white?'
Please don't take it as an insult as this purely based on the way I do things.......it's FUN being me some days :-)
If all the above checks out for you then you may have to reach out to the Help Desk.
Best regards,
Bob
