You can use data from ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager in ARIS MashZone to create evaluations.
First you use data lists in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager to create an ARIS MashZone URL. Then in ARIS MashZone you establish a direct link to ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager to access the corresponding data. And finally, you configure a graphical representation. You can also manually create or edit the URL created in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager.
The details of these processes will be introduced in this and further videos.
In this video you will learn more about the topic "Using an ARIS MashZone URL".
Log in to ARIS MashZone. First, create a new data feed to connect to the data from ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager. Use the csv format for data output. Click on "Select data source" to enter the URL. Enable the option "The data is located on the Internet". Insert the URL that you copied previously in ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager or created manually.
Select "Basic authentication" to enable direct linking between applications. Access is connected to an authentication in order to ensure that the user can only use the data he is authorized for. To do so your user name and password for ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager are required.
A "pipe" is used as a separator for the data to be transferred. Use the UTF-8 character set for data encoding. Finish the feed definition by linking the output with the source. Now save your input. Enter the name for the data feed and confirm it.
Now, have the calculation result displayed, in order to check whether the data from ARIS Risk & Compliance Manager was transferred correctly. You have created a feed definition that you need for creating a MashApp. To create the MashApp, use the Home button to return to the start screen.
Now create a new MashApp. A MashApp is an interactive application that uses data from external data sources for graphical displays. Select a style template. For our example the "Colorful" style template will be used. Decide which display component you wish to use, for example the pie chart. Now assign the data feed you created with the name "Risk types". For a better overview of the data feeds you can use the search, if necessary.
Now, select the data that you want to display graphically and link it with the elements of the pie chart. In the example, these are the risk types as a criterion and the number of assignments for each type as a KPI. Specify that the number of individual risk types should be displayed as numbers without decimal places. Now save your settings.
Select the display component and select the menu item "Border". Enter the name of the chart and, if required, select further settings for the chart's title and border. Then select the menu item "Pie chart" to format the graphical representation. Remove for example, the shadows and enable the legend.
Lastly, specify the formatting settings for the label. For example, center the representation. Now save the MashApp. Enter the desired name and, as an option, a description or keyword to make it easier to find the MashApp again later.
Finally, check the representation in the preview.
