All ARIS Express models
Hi,
I am new to EPC and BPMN, but i need to learn both and finally to transform EPC to BPMN.
would anyone please let me know if it is possible to transform events in EPC into a task in BPMN? I have copied and paste one example of EPC. I can't figure out the last part which I have bolded. can the final events be transformed as TASKS in BPMN?
a) On delivering an order, customer service simultaneously specifies the shipping point and the order number in the sales & distribution system (SD). b) Before posting the goods issue (if the products are available), the system automatically performs an availability check. If the products are not available, the delivery process is abandoned. The systems used are SD, material management (MM). c) Finally, delivery is created, the stock quantity of the delivered items is reduced accordingly and the customer order is debited.
Schluß mit schlecht geplanten Silvester-Partys! Auch hier sollte Prozessmanagement ansetzen. Mit diesem kleinen scherzhaft gemeinten Geschäftsprozess endet auch unser Jahr der Initiative aris@school.

Dear Aris Community,
I'm currently studying business informatics and I'm required to model a car sharing business process for my bachelor thesis. However, as I've got no one to check for errors, I was wondering whether someone of you guys would be so very very kind to take a quick look at my results? I really can't present a process with lots of mistakes, since that would definately lead to a bad grade, and, what's even worse, it would shed a bad light on me as a student. I would REALLY appreciate your help :)
Hi, I want to simulate a simple process.
Process Definition
There is a function "Produce Screw", which produces 1 screw.
At the beginning there are zero screws in stock.
Afterwards there is a function "Screw Component together", which consumes 4 screws to produce 1 component.
The function "Screw Component Together" should only be processed when there are enough screws available.
My attempt
I'm using the ARIS Business Architect (7.2) for students.
For Modelling the control flow I used an EPC. The only attributes I set are the number of Employes that carry out each function (set to 1) and a Throughput time for each function.
For Modelling the Production and Consumption I used an EPC(Material Flow). I choosed General Resource for each resource. The only attributes I set are each Startup Capacity of zero and the Connection attribute "Quantity".
"Produce Screw" produces 1 "Screw"
4 "Screw" are consumed by "Screw Component together"
"Screw Component together" produces 1 "Component"
Problem
When I start the Simulation(Material Flow EPC included) I get the following error. "simtestmaterial" is the Material Flow EPC.
But there is no way to model an Start Event in an EPC Material Flow.
What am I doing wrong? How do I model and simulate a producer-consumer-process?

in der 9. Jahrgangsstufe unseres Gymnasiums muss jeder Schüler ein Betriebspraktikum absolvieren & dazu auch einen selbstgewählten Geschäftsprozess bearbeiten.
In meinem Fall habe ich in einem Charity Shop in England meine Erfahrungen gesammelt & mich für einen Geschäftsprozess, der den Weg der Kleidung, die von Leuten gespendet wird, vom Eintreffen bis zu dem Moment, indem sie im Laden zum Verkauf aushängen, beschreibt.
Da ich noch nicht sehr viel Erfahrung mit Aris Express gesammelt habe, bitte ich Sie um ein kurzes Feedback zu meinem Geschäftsprozess.
